With the completion of his film degree from Northern Michigan University, Patrick was looking to jump start his career in the genre cinema he loved. While working as a video editor he came across Tom Savini’s Special Effects Program at Douglas Education Center. Jumping at the chance to be taught by industry legends such as Oscar winner Dick Smith, Emmy winner Jerry Gergely and Tom Savini himself, Patrick enrolled the following semester. Excelling in all areas he quickly worked his way onto several Pittsburgh Musical Theater productions including, “Cats” and “Le Miserables”. These were promptly follow by his first feature film work in “Blood Ties”. With a growing demand for his work Patrick formed Dead Pretzel FX LLC upon graduation and has been helping bring Hollywood level craftsmanship to the growing Michigan film industry.
